Lecture Series

The Cluster for European Research at Saarland University (CEUS) regularly invites international researchers for lectures and talks on Europe.

The theme of this year's lecture series is "History and Present of Solidarity in Europe and of European Solidarity". 

In the opening lecture of this year's Europe Discourses, political and social scientist Hans-Jörg Trenz will speak on "European Solidarity: Empty Formula, State Maxim or Lived Practice?" on Thursday, May 6, 2021, from 4:15 to 5:45 pm. 

The lecture will take place as an online event via Zoom and is aimed at students, university staff and the interested public. The language of the lecture is German and participation is free of charge.
