Discussion round organized by the Liaison Office of the European Parliament in Luxembourg in cooperation with the University of Luxembourg
Within the framework of the "Conference on the Future of Europe", the Liaison Office of the European Parliament in Luxembourg organized in cooperation with the University of Luxembourg the discussion round "Solidarity in the EU Member States" on 18 November 2021. As a cooperation partner of this event, the Europa-Institut together with students of the study program European Studies at Saarland University also participated in this discussion at the Europaschule I in Luxembourg.
Invited were: Jean Asselborn, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg, Katarina Barley, Vice-President of the European Parliament, Isabel Wiseler-Lima, Member of the European Parliament and Guido Lessing, Researcher at the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History at the University of Luxembourg.
After the European School Luxembourg I was officially awarded as Ambassador School of the European Parliament, an exciting discussion took place between the invited students and the guests, in which also a staff member of the Europa-Institut participated significantly.
The discussions focused on the views of the European Member States on European Solidarity, and the students were also given the opportunity to ask questions and thus present their views.
