Transforming Societies and Challenges of the Russian-Ukrainian War

The Europa-Institut hosted the first online student workshop on 7 July 2022 as part of the European University "Transform4Europe - The European University for Knowledge Entrepreneurs". The topic of the English-language workshop was: "Transforming Societies and Challenges of the Russian-Ukrainian War". All students at one of the partner universities were invited, but also all other interested students.

This cross-border event served to shed light on the current situation in Ukraine from different perspectives. It was organised as part of the "Transform4Europe" project, which is funded by the European Union. The workshop was organised by the Europa-Institut with the support of the German Academic Exchange Service.
The online student workshop brought together students from the partner universities of the Transform4Europe consortium to have a lively exchange with each other and with experts on the topic. There were various presentations by experts on the background of the Russian-Ukrainian war, on international legal aspects of the conflict as well as on the current situation in Ukraine. For more than 4 hours, there was active discussion and exchange. After each lecture, there were active discussion rounds where students from the partner faculties could ask the experts questions. A second part of the workshop is planned for autumn 2022. The date will be announced in good time! We are looking forward to it!
